Young singers in the National Youth Choir of Scotland are getting excited for the first ever Evening Telegraph Christmas Concert.
They will be among scores of talented children and teenagers performing some festive favourites at our event on Sunday.
And if you don’t want to miss the seasonal sparkle snap up your tickets before it’s too late for the 1.30pm and 4.30pm performances.
Dundee NYCOS will perform In the Bleak Midwinter, by Andy Beck, and Douglas Wagner’s Can’t Wait for Christmas.
One of its members Isla, 9, told us: “I can’t wait for the concert as I love to sing!”
Rowan, 12, said: “I’m excited to take part in this performance as I have never been part of something like this before.”
And Maddie, 15, said: “I’m very excited to participate in the concert as it sounds like it’s an amazing opportunity. I can’t wait to hear all the other groups taking part too!”
The Dundee branch of NYCOS meets weekly and is open to children and young people aged seven to 18.
As well as enjoying singing together, children go through musicianship programme based on the Kodály method and learn about reading music, pitching, rhythm, sound production and simple theory.

We hope the concert will become a regular feature of Christmas in Dundee, inspired by the annual festive concert our sister newspaper the Evening Express has staged in Aberdeen for more than 50 years.
Local schools will benefit, as proceeds from ticket sales will go to our Pounds for Primaries initiative in which local schools collect tokens to share in a £10,000 prize pot.
