A road in Perth has been closed due to a collapsed water main near a primary school which the council believes poses a “likelihood of danger to the public”.
Abbot Street, from its junction with Young Street to Friar Street, has been closed off due to the collapsed Scottish Water main affecting Craigie Primary School.
A council spokesperson said: “Perth and Kinross Council as Traffic Authority being satisfied that there is a likelihood of danger to the public due to a collapsed Scottish Water main affecting Craigie Primary School hereby prohibit all vehicular traffic on the length of carriageway.”
The alternative route for vehicles is Wilson Street to Queen Street to Priory place and then Abbot Street,
