Runners descended on the Scottish Assault Course Dundee on Saturday as the Errol Mud Run returned for a second year.
The fundraiser for a new outdoor learning facility at Errol Primary School, which is organised by the parent council, drew in hundreds of competitors.
With the inaugural event only open to youngsters, the committee opened up entries to adults this year too.
Organiser Carole-Ann Porter has said that the event was bigger and better than the first year’s and that plans for a third event are already in the pipeline.
She said: “It was a fabulous day and we were really lucky with the weather.
“We had over 400 people running, with football teams, rugby teams and even a team of midwives taking part.
“We had the marine and sea cadets in volunteering and they ran the course too.
“The consultation with the school and the council is going to start soon on what we spend the money on.”
