Competition: Win tickets to see Bros in Glasgow

Bros legends Matt and Luke Goss.
Bros legends Matt and Luke Goss.

Eighties heart-throbs Luke and Matt Goss delighted fans in October when they revealed their band Bros would reunite for a one-off gig at Wembley Arena.

So Brosettes in Scotland were over-the-moon when the lads revealed they were adding further UK dates due to overwhelming demand, including a night at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, on August 27, 2017. Wow!

It’s more than 20 years since Bros called it a day, but they were huge in their time, enjoying major hits with tracks such as When Will I Be Famous? and I Owe You Nothing.

The band inspired fans to wear Grolsch bottle caps on the tongues of their shoes and they were sensational pop cultural icons in the late 1980s.

Bros formed in 1986 with bassist Craig Logan, from Kirkcaldy. Craig left after three years and Matt and Luke stopped playing together in 1992.

Since then, both Matt and Luke have achieved tremendous success in their respective music and film careers.

Matt began his solo career in 1995 and has sold more than five million albums, played a Las Vegas residency at Caesar’s Palace, and headlined Wembley Arena.

His current single Gone Too Long is out now.

Luke is enjoying a successful acting career in both film (Hellboy 2, Blade 2, The Man, Deathrace 2&3) and TV (Red Widow and Emmy award winning mini-series Frankenstein).

The lads said they have been blown away by the reaction to news of their reunion.

“We’re so excited to play these shows – we wish it was next week,” they said in a joint statement. “Summer can’t come soon enough.”

Andy Copping, president of Live Nation UK Touring said: “This has been the fastest sell out in history for any live nation show at The O2 and is utterly amazing.”

The twin brothers will play London’s O2 Arena on August 19 and 20 next year.

They then play Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham and Newcastle before heading to Glasgow.

But just how can fans get their hands on the hottest tickets in town?

For a pair of tickets to see Bros play Glasgow’s SSE Hydro Arena on August 27, 2017, simply email: gritchie@thecourier.co.uk by Friday, December 16, revealing (in no more than 100 words) why you want to win and including your name, age and address.
