Celebrating his tenth anniversary touring season in the UK, the award-winning violinist Tim Kliphuis and his friends improvise on themes by Vivaldi, Bartók, Ellington, John McLaughlin and other greats of the music world, drawing from Baroque, Northern European Gypsy Jazz and folk traditions.
The line-up is Dutchman,Tim on violin, Nigel Clark on guitar and Roy Percy on bass.
They met in Glasgow in 2006 and immediately embarked on a tour. Their electrifying performances soon found them playing in front of up to 10,000 people at the Richard Strauss Festival, Celtic Connections and the Amsterdam Canal Concert
They’ve recently signed a three-record deal with Sony Classical, including the newly-released Vivaldi album ‘Reflecting the Seasons’.
