Cardboard Fox is one of the UK’s hottest young bluegrass bands.
The four piece from Bath is anchored by sisters Laura and Charlotte Carrivick, better known as top folk duo the Carrivick Sisters.
They’re joined by John Breese, banjo player with the Coal Porters, and Joe Tozer, who is a three-time English Folk Dance and Song Society Young Musician winner.
Although hailed as a bluegrass band their music straddles numerous genres, including classical and folk– they’ve even been known to ad lib Justin Bieber covers in their live shows.
Close harmony vocals are provided by the Carrivick sisters, while Breese backs them with crisp banjo and double bass, and Tozer soars with the mandolin. Their first full length album, Out of Mind, was released last year.
The group focus on original songs with a strong pop sensibility and are known for their energetic live performances.
