Cupar Blues and Beyond Club and Cupar Golf Club have again collaborated to stage another night of live music – this time featuring local talent.
The clubs have on recent occasions brought artists from beyond Fife but on Saturday December 2 are promoting local musicians Tom Beaver and the Tarviteers in what will be a now sold out world premiere performance.
Tom, who grew up in Cupar and is well known in local musical circles, will play with Lewis White and together will play a mix of Tom’s, often humorous, songs and covers.
The Tarviteers comprising Geoff Stevenson, Johnny Beaver and Graham Dickson (all former members of the Moonzie Allstars) will play a mix of Tom’s and the Moonzie’s songs with some popular covers added.
Cupar Blues and Beyond co-founder Charlie Milne said: “The inspiration for Tom’s songs often come from observations of local events and experiences as well as self-deprecating accounts of personal and
romantic trauma.
“The Moonzie influence injects more of a world music flavour to proceedings featuring elements of Brazilian, French and African tunes.
“The outcome is a blend of genres from blues, folk and ska which is bound to have the audience smiling and dancing in equal measure.”.
