The thrill and excitement of Rollermania returns to Fife on Friday March 16 when Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers perform at the Alhambra Theatre in Dunfermline.

Edinburgh-born Les, who became the lead singer of the Rollers just a few days after his 18th birthday in the 1970s, is back with hits such as Bye Bye Baby, Shang A Lang, Summer Love and Give A Little More.

He will also be introducing new songs from the upcoming new Bay City Rollers album.

Following the acrimonious split of the band in the late 1970s, and various incarnations touring since, Les has been touring with his own band under the name Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers since 1992.

The show, a repeat of a rapturous performance at the same venue last year, will turn the clocks back to the 1970s with Les promising all the hits from the Rollers’ heyday.

Les says his audiences are not always “women of a certain age”. He also gets a younger audience “to see what it’s all about” – and more men are attending, which he thinks is “great”.
