Argentinian lo-fi singer songwriter Diego Billordo returns to Dundee on the Scottish leg of his “Anti-folk Troubadour” European tour this on Saturday May 19.
Billordo’s sold-out debut Dundee show a year ago gained him cult status in the city, with audience members blown away by the charismatic South American.
A gifted entertainer and songwriter, Billordo’s shows are energetic and exciting with a healthy dose of Argentinian anarchy.
Special guests are Dundee sludge-core trio Muppet Mule, reforming after 25 years to celebrate the release of their limited edition album “Coming here was a mistake”.
Muppet Mule disbanded in the early 1990s when bassist Alan Cormack and guitarist Barry Gibson joined local legends Spare Snare, but now reunited with drummer Roy Anderson, they still have the raw power that fans of Unsane, Killdozer and Sonic Youth will relish.
Also on the bill and making their live debut are noise combo The Vex Offenders, who feature luminaries form the early days of the Dundee indie scene.
The evening is compèred by Neo-Dadaist poet Bob Flambé.
