Singer and television star Joe Longthorne has been forced to postpone his Dundee concert later this month.
The 62-year-old had been due to appear at the Gardyne Theatre on the evening of Thursday June 22, but the Hull-born performer has been forced to reschedule due to illness.
It is understood that Longthorne has been recently undergoing tests and a change of medication, which prompted an admission to hospital earlier this week.
Due to this, his management and doctors felt it would be wise to cancel the remainder of his June and July dates to give him time to recuperate.
Longthorne first came to prominence on London Weekend Television’s Search for a Star and went on to have his own TV series, also appearing on Live from the Palladium and Des O’Connor Tonight.
During his career, he has also received gold and platinum discs for his albums and enjoyed sell-out concerts at the Royal Albert Hall, as well as touring Australia several times.
