Former Scottish Labour leader Kezia Dugdale is a surprise late jungle guest on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, according to The Sun.
The 36-year-old MSP will fly to Australia this weekend to join campmates including boxer Amir Khan and Boris Johnson’s dad Stanley, according to the paper.
But her inclusion on the ITV show is set to spark controversy – five years after MP Nadine Dorries was criticised for ‘abandoning’ voters.
Labour colleague and fellow MSP Jenny Marra tweeted: “Election to parliament is a privilege to serve and represent people. It’s not a shortcut to celebrity.”

If true @kezdugdale, this is a slap in the face for activists, Cllrs, MPs & MSPs working to rebuild the party. https://t.co/3rNr4K73kM

She follows in the footsteps of Scots politician George Galloway who appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2006.
Ms Dugdale took over as Labour leader from Jim Murphy in August 2015, after the party lost all but one Westminster seat in Scotland to the SNP.
She resigned as leader in August after two years in the job, but said she would stay on as a backbencher.
