The Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Scotland is celebrated for the quality of its music, visual grandeur and precision drill. Now you can see this world class military band in action when it returns to Dunfermline’s Carnegie Hall on April 28.
The band’s repertoire includes popular classics, Big Band and contemporary works. The evening promises to be a wonderfully colourful show with 40 Royal Marines bandsmen on stage along with the amazing Corps of Drums.
Proceeds for the evening will go to Seafarers UK, the leading charity for seafarers in need.
Formed in 1960, the band regularly appears at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo and has been based in Rosyth since 1971.
As with all Royal Marines Bands the principal role is to provide musical support to the Naval Service but within their secondary role, the band’s men and women undertake a variety of important support tasks during active operations.
