Perform in Perth has announced its plans for 2021 amid challenges facing the arts industry.
The organisation launched its syllabus for next year’s event despite cancellations elsewhere in Tayside and Fife.
Musicians, dancers and performers are encouraged to apply for the event, which is due to take place in March.
Perform in Perth – which will celebrate its centenary next year – showcases a range of solo and group talents.
Secretary, Eileen Waterston said: “We are feeling very positive that we are making plans, when so many things have been cancelled and so many restrictions have been placed on us all.
“It is an exciting prospect when there is so much negativity around us.”
Festival organisers are contemplating accepting online entries, which would allow to participate performers who may be unable to travel to Perth.
Chairwoman, Christine Munro said: “Perform in Perth is grateful for the help, support and understanding following the disrupted 2020 festival.
“We look forward to welcoming performers to the centenary festival in 2021.”
The move comes as similar festivals elsewhere in Courier Country have been cancelled amid current pandemic restrictions.
The Arbroath and District Musical Competitive Festival committee cancelled its event more than six months ahead of its planned date and next year’s Fife Festival of Music was called off.
