Fife-based artist Dominique Cameron has taken a unique approach to exploring a new location in her latest exhibition focused on Montrose.
Dominique began by drawing a line on a map through the town, from the docks on the corner of Meridian Street to the Air Station Heritage Museum at the industrial estate at the north end.
She then proceeded to walk that line every week for 12 weeks, taking notes, making drawings and meeting and talking to people along the way.
All of her observations, from visual to conversational, are woven together in the final works to create a personal and particular portrait of Montrose for an exhibition at the Wall projects II gallery in Bents Road which is to run from June 4 to July 2.
Gallery owner Kim Canale said: ”In the 10 years of Wall Projects, Dominique is the first artist to come to us with a project on Montrose.
Although the project is now complete, Dominique will walk her line one more time when she shares her on the evening of Thursday June 9 at 6.30pm.
