The temperature on the rink may have been frosty but here was nothing to leave the audience cold at Disney On Ice presented Frozen in Glasgow.
A packed out SSE Hydro welcomed Elsa, Anna, Olaf and chums for an extravaganza of a show that has now become a firm part of Christmas.
Released in 2013, the Frozen movie itself has been a worldwide phenomenon with  box office takings dwarfed by the franchise that has followed.
Theme tune Let it Go is well known by children, mums and dads alike and it was no different during the ice show as all the hits from the movie were played out.
Many in the crowd came in fancy dress with hundreds mini Elsas spellbound by the event.
The show is a beautifully choreographed and shortened version of the film featuring impressive special effects including snow, pyrotechnic ice magic, clever use of under ice magnets and even a huge inflatable ice monster.
All the sequences fit seamlessly into the familiar story and showcase some impressive ice skating tricks and stagecraft.
Production company Feld Entertainment are behind the show and have put a great deal of investment into it.
On opening night an array of footballers visited the production with their eager young families.
Everyone who left the building had a smile on their face with many saying they would be return the next time the production came to town.
Clearly the cold never bothered them anyway.
