‘Shop local’ is the small business battle cry of the Christmas season, and Double Door Studios are offering Dundee shoppers the chance to do just that at their Festive Boutique.
Back for its third year, the Festive Boutique sees the cosy Ward Road studio transformed into a sparkling pop-up Christmas shop.
In-house artists Islay Spalding, Christina Vernon, Holly McAfee, Ieva Jankovska, and Sophie Siegel (of The Candle Bothy), have filled the studio with products from 18 makers across Scotland, including Angus-based landscape artist Victoria Wylie.
Ms Wylie says she is “incredibly excited” to be taking part in the Festive Boutique for the first time.
“The line up this year is looking fab,” she added. “So much creative talent under one roof!”
From soaps and stationary to textiles, homewares and jewellery, gifts are on sale at a range of price points, meaning everyone is welcome.
But studio owner Islay is encouraging those looking for something truly unique to register for the opening night reception on November 17, if they want to have first dibs on the boutique’s one-of-a-kind pieces.
The Festive Boutique runs on alternating Saturdays, Sundays and Thursdays from November 17 to December 22. Slots must be booked to avoid overcrowding.
To register for an invitation to the Festive Boutique opening night, sign up to Double Door’s mailing list.
