Bea is asking art lovers to question the ethics of eating meat through an exhibition that uses forensic dye to make blood glow bright yellow.
An Abertay artist inspired by the work of a Dundee forensic scientist is to display a number of gruesome pieces at an upcoming London exhibition.
Bea Haines, who previously held the post of artist in residence at the university, will challenge people’s perceptions of the meat industry with her exhibition utilising forensic dye to create “blood-splatter”, comparing the scene of a meal to one of a murder.

The Acid Yellow 7 display has been named after research carried out by Dr Kevin Farrugia, a lecturer in forensic science at the university whose own work has used the yellow dye to great effect.
Visitors to the display will be asked to don goggles before entering a darkened room containing the thought-provoking scene.
