A statue to be featured in this Summer’s Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail has been given a makeover courtesy of a renowned online artist.
Social media star Mr Doodle visited Dundee Railway Station on Saturday to draw his trademark designs on one of the 200 sculptures to appear in public places across Scotland on June 17 as part of the popular charity trail.

Famed for his thick black line sketches, Mr Doodle, also known as Sam Cox, has amassed nearly two million Instagram followers and taken his artwork across the globe.
The English artist, who signs off his videos by saying “have a doodley day”, has recently created works of art in Mexico and Japan, and worked on his latest project across an eight-hour sitting where members of the public were encouraged to watch live.
Suzanne Scott, art consultant for Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail said she was “absolutely delighted” to welcome Mr Doodle to Dundee.

She said: “His work is just wonderful and brings so many smiles to those who see it.
“To watch him work is just brilliant, a constant stream of fun spilling out of just one pen, it’s pretty magical.
“It’s a huge treat that we are invited to watch him doodle and watch the transformation unfold – and a massive honour that he is doing this for The ARCHIE Foundation.”
The statues will appear on the streets of Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, Glasgow and Edinburgh in June,.
There will then be farewell events in each city followed by auctions to raise money for The ARCHIE Foundation, Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity and Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
Sarah Johnston, fundraising manager for The ARCHIE Foundation, said: “Excitement ahead of Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail is already building and to have Mr Doodle be a part of it makes it even more special.
“We are so grateful he has come to lend his support to the trail and The ARCHIE Foundation.
“Money raised from the trail and the auction will directly benefit sick children in Tayside. Having a big name artist on board can only help us raise more funds for a much-needed cause.”
Mr Doodle said: “I am excited to be a part of this project.
“I love doodling over everything and to doodle over such an iconic Scottish character is an honour.
“I’ve drawn on lots of walls, furniture and vehicles but nothing quite like this.”
