Hidden away in their own private studios or workspace, it’s usually only when exhibitions are staged that the public get a chance to see their work.
That all changes, however, during north Fife’s annual Open Studios event, and this year promises to be no different.
This weekend, 66 artists, designers and makers will be opening up their workspaces to visitors.
Alison Strachan, Open Studios event coordinator said: “Whether your interest is in painting, ceramics, jewellery, wood or metalwork, glass, textiles or photography this event provides a fascinating insight into the often quirky workspaces and expert methods of a diverse range of participants from new graduates to artists who are very well known.”
Participants this year include multi-award winning Derek Roberetson who won the International Exhibit National Watercolour Society combined award, USA, in 2015, and Moyra Stewart, Craft & Design Maker of the Year 2015.
