Imagine if your mum, or gran, or any family member for that matter, decided to set up their own stall at a craft fair… only to not sell a single thing.
You’d be pretty devastated for them, wouldn’t you? You know you would be.
That’s exactly what happened to Twitter user Martyn’s mother and the internet’s hearts collectively broke when they read his tweet.
But all was not lost because Martyn’s mother may have had no luck at the craft fair, but she has a Depop shop.
One of Martyn’s friends bought a glove monster – the shop’s first ever sale.
And after that, the orders kept on coming. “Just sold three hearts! Yay!,” Figen Murray said in a text to her son.
Then came the day when Figen sold nine items in one hour.
The deliveries seem to have gone far and wide.
People have since been sharing their knitted wonders, and just showing general interest in the crafts.
So really, what with all this love on Twitter, it’s no surprise that Figen has now sold out of everything on her Depop shop.
Don’t worry though – Martyn said she will be restocking soon.
Yep, Figen now has a lot more knitting to do and we can all rest easy in the knowledge that the days of not selling anything she makes are far behind her.
Figen took to Twitter to confirm she’s going to be busy creating new stock.
You enjoy your new fanbase, Figen. You deserve it.
