Visit the Alpine Village and be transported to a land where every day is Christmas! Step into the Northern Lights Lodge and cosy up to its luxe style. You’re sure to be inspired to decorate your own home for the festivities. The North Pole train is filled with lights to hang on your tree and there’s a fabulous choice of fun and festive accessories in the Alpine Sweetie Shop. While you are here, don’t forget to take a photo in the brand-new cable car! You can also dance with the elves who have opened their own Scottish-inspired apres ski bar!
2. Wander around the magical Christmas Garden
Take a peek inside the charming Gnomes Greenhouse filled with autumn scents and watch as they create Christmas candles to light up your home. Search for enchanted creatures in the Faerie Garden and make a Christmas wish. Among the fir trees, you’ll discover the Secret Garden carriage filled with beautiful decorations ready for you to pick up and to beautifully decorate your home. Don’t miss the polar bears that are waiting for you, and be sure to take a snap with them!
3. Complete your Christmas shopping
Making a list and checking it twice? If you haven’t finished buying gifts for all your family and friends, Glendoick is filled with gifts they will love. Choose from Scottish gifts, soft furnishings, beautiful homewares, toys, ladies and men’s clothing, accessories, pampering, books and much more. Of course, being a garden centre, they also have lots of gifts suitable for gardeners of all levels. Don’t forget to buy a special gift for your four-legged friend from their pet department that is filled with squeaky toys, pet beds, pet treats and wild bird care products.
4. Festive Food and Drink
Christmas is a time of year when we want something special to eat and drink, either on the big day or in the run-up as we celebrate with friends and family. 5. Buy the Tree!
Glendoick’s Christmas Trees are grown locally in Tayside on the slopes of Craig Owl just behind Dundee. Pop along and choose your tree whilst enjoying a free glass of non-alcoholic mulled punch to keep you warm and cosy. Their expert staff can advise on which tree is just right for you as well as how to look after it so it is looking its best on the big day.
6. Cosy up at the Garden Café
After all that shopping, relax in The Garden Café with a cup of locally roasted coffee and a slice of homemade cake. Or choose from their festive menu dishes or maybe you fancy one of their signature sourdough sandwiches with a real fruit smoothie. You can even start your day bright and early here with a hearty Scottish breakfast. You don’t need to worry if you bring your furry friend along; they’re welcome inside! There’s also plenty of free parking and free WiFi to stay connected.
