If you’re trying to get ahead of the game and plan in your Christmas celebrations, you’ll be pleased to see that Glamis Castle has announced its festive season plans.

It’s the ideal place to get the whole family in the Christmas spirit, especially since this year will once again see the return of Glamis Castle’s popular Christmas markets.

“December at Glamis Castle is a truly magical time of year. The festive season creates a new visual feast for the eyes to enjoy as you travel down the fabulous main driveway,” says Helen Buchanan, Glamis Castle General Manager.

The Christmas Market is being hosted on the 13th, 14th and 15th of December. You’ll be able to shop for gifts amongst many local traders, visit Santa in his grotto, pick out your Christmas tree, enjoy lunch and even explore the grounds too.

If you want to discover more about the fascinating story of Glamis Castle since 1372, there will be guided tours available. You’re guaranteed to learn something that you didn’t already know about Glamis, and there’ll be lots of stunning photo ops along the way too.

As well as the Christmas market to get you in the festive mood, Glamis Castle is also hosting a special event for New Year’s Eve, and it’s promising to be a night to remember.

“Hospitality has been a pillar of life at Glamis Castle since the 14th century, when it was originally built as a hunting lodge,” says Helen.

“For that reason we are very much looking forward to hosting Hogmanay celebrations on 31st December, when you can welcome in a new decade with friends, old and new, in a truly unique setting.

“Please check the website in due course for further details.”
