The winners of The Menu Awards 2020 finally got their moment in the spotlight after receiving their trophies at the launch of the 2022 event.

Nearly two years after the awards was set to take place in Dundee, the winners of the 2020 event, which had to be cancelled last minute due to the coronavirus pandemic, finally got their hands on their awards.

Julia Bryce, head of food and drink at DC Thomson, and Brian Stormont, editor of The Menu, presented the awards moments after launching this year’s event which is set to take place at The Old Course Hotel in St Andrews on Thursday October 6.

The awards celebrate the best of food and drink in the Tayside, Fife and Angus area and highlight those in the hospitality sector who are pushing boundaries and leading the way in excellence.

This year’s 2022 awards sees two new categories added to the line-up with 15 available for businesses across the food and drink and hospitality sectors to enter.

The event, which was held at The Wine Press, saw more than 60 people come together to celebrate the businesses.

Those in attendance enjoyed a range of canapes and drinks put on by the host venue.

The 2022 awards will be supported by Invest Fife and Altar Group.
