Although not all venues are open on Christmas Day this year, there are still plenty offering their take on a festive menu.
Everyone loves a festive treat and this year The Courier patch is offering a range of options to choose from.
As much as traditional food is delicious, some venues have decided to add a twist on their festive offering – from Christmas burgers to mincemeat ice cream – to make the food more exciting for their customers this year.
Below we have listed the five venues who are offering something different, including their two course and three course menus.

The Braes
From Fat Santa Burgers to Merry Crustmas Pizzas and everything in between, Braes on Perth Road have a range of Christmas specials to get everyone in the festive mood.
As for desserts, if you love a sweet treat the Xmas Donut Stack with Nutella spread, mince pie ice cream and a KitKat Santa on top is the perfect choice.
Priced at two courses for £19.50 and three courses for £22.50 from Wednesday to Saturday, and from Sunday to Tuesday two courses for £17.50 and three for £20.50, you can grab yourself a tasty bargain on your next visit.

The Ship Inn & Waterfront Restaurant
If you enjoy traditional food but want a course or two with a twist, The Ship Inn has all your favourites as well as some of their own festive specials.
Starters include haggis fritters and crab cakes, and for mains Scottish lamb shank, venison and beef lasagne, and a spinach sweet potato and chickpea curry.
If you would prefer a Christmas inspired burger, their 6oz festive beef burger with pork stuffing, brie, cranberry sauce and pigs in blankets is the perfect option.
And for dessert you can enjoy a mincemeat ice cream served with mince pies, or a lemon and white chocolate pavlova.

Bruach Bar
The Bruach Bar in Broughty Ferry are offering their festive menu from Sunday to Thursday with the option of two courses for £24.50 or three for £29.50, as well as a three course menu on Fridays and Saturdays for £34.50.
For starters you can expect Korean fried cauliflower, peri-peri tiger prawns, and red pepper bruschetta.
For mains there are a range of options including a Bruach festive burger containing turkey, cranberry jam and bacon, or Southeast Asian noodle soup dish laksa.
As for dessert you can be a bit more traditional with a sticky toffee pudding, or enjoy something different like a classic affogato.

Vandal & Co
Burgers may not be on your list of festive dishes, but Vandal & Co on Exchange Street are offering their take on a different festive menu with Christmas inspired burgers.
With five different burgers to choose from the menu will be available alongside their regular menu for the entire festive season.
All Christmas burgers are served on brioche buns with a side of sage and onion frites.
Burger filling options include a Gobble Gobble burger with grilled turkey breast, slaw and cranberry sauce, a Chick-mas buttermilk chicken burger with sprout slaw and chicken gravy mayonnaise, and a Secret Santa burger with panko crumbed prawns and sage and onion mayonnaise.

Riverside Inn
If it is grilled food you are after, Riverside Inn are offering their Grillmas three course set menu from December 23 to 30 – excluding Christmas Day – for £24.99 or two courses for £21.99.
You can expect tipsy tiger prawns, clementine peri peri chicken skewers, or pan fried mushrooms and spinach for starters.
As for main courses there are steak burgers, a kofta and butternut squash skewer, pings in blankets and a chargrilled chicken skewer, and the ultimate Christmas dinner in a burger.
And if you love dessert, you can look forward to a black forest sundae, Christmas torte, a rum basque cheesecake or a bramley apple and berry crumble.
