‘It’s never going to be normal to see your insides on the outside’: My Health Story, Part 3
ByCallum Main
Sore and groggy from surgery, it took Samantha time to adjust to what would be her new normal.
But as she was moved into a new ward, she found friendship with her Stoma Sisters – other patients who were all going through similar experiences.
Initially she was reluctant to properly see how her body had changed with the surgery, but quickly embraced it.
Have you caught up with the first part of Samantha’s story? Watch from the beginning here.
Keen to look at the positives of the situation, her life is once again as normal as it can be.
Back at work, with baby number two on the way, Samantha is “shocked” at how little has actually changed for her – determined to live day-to-day as she did once before.
