SsangYong’s has boosted the practicality of its Qashqai rival the Trivial by adding length and luggage space.
The standard Tivoli is not short of room, having already received a fair bit of praise for its front and rear passenger space and for its bumper-sized boot. It’s in this area that the Tivoli XLV adds value. By extending the available boot space, it adds almost 300 litres to the load area.
Powered by the regular Tivoli’s 1.6-litre diesel engine, the Korean-made XLV promises decent running costs with CO2 emissions as low as 117g/km and up to 62.8mpg with a six-speed manual gearbox.
SsangYong hasn’t revealed prices yet but the regular Tivoli costs from just under £13,000, so assuming it doesn’t apply a huge premium the XLV should offer a lot of car for not much cash.
