Nine years after Suzuki last used the name, the Ignis is once again to grace our roads.
This time it’s in the guise of a mini-crossover.
On release, the Ignis will be offered with both two and four-wheel drive, in line with its SUV-esque styling. Four-wheel drive will be an option, however. It should add around £1500 to the price of the car if it follows the same pricing strategy as the current Swift and its four-wheel-drive variant.
The engine line-up for the Ignis is as yet unconfirmed, with the exception of the 1.2-litre Dualjet engine, as used in the Baleno and Swift. A hybrid Ignis is expected, but not confirmed.
It’ll be on display at the Paris Motor Show next month and is expected to be on sale in the UK from January next year. Prices will be released nearer that date.
