“Of all the gin joints in all the world she walks into mine.”
Substitute “gin joint” for “Renault dealerships”, “walks” for “drives,” Humphrey Bogart for me and Ingrid Bergman for a Megane and…well, it was a terrible analogy to begin with.
Anyway, the last ever third generation Megane Renault Sport has rolled off the production line in Palencia, Spain and ended up on sale at, of all places, Arnold Clark in Dundee, right beside The Courier’s offices.
The final car of a production run of more than 30,000 was completed on July 6 and is now visible from the Kingsway in all its yellow glory.
With 275bhp on tap, it’s a phenomenally powerful hot hatch that’s equally at home power-drifting round Knockhill as it is on the public road.
