Surprisingly, plenty of people will. The GT-R Nismo is Nissan’s supercar and comes with a correspondingly super price of £149,995.
The basic GT-R comes in at around £80,000, meaning the Nismo version is nearly double the price.
So what do you get? Well, there’s a lot of carbon fibre in there, making it extremely lightweight, and it generates more downforce than any car Nissan has ever produced.
The engine is unchanged, with the 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 592bhp at 6,800rpm and 652Nm of torque from 3,600rpm to 5,600rpm. It uses a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox, and the engine is hand-built by specially trained technicians.
That means, as before, it will go from 0-62mph in around 2.5 seconds and up to around 200mph. Inside, there’s a redesigned dashboard, larger display and leather Recaro sports seats. It’s on sale in November.
