One of the most spectacular and unpredictable sporting events of this year happens at Knockhill Racing Circuit this Sunday. Instead of the sound of roaring car or bike engines, the hills around Knockhill will hear the sound of rally cars as they take part in Round One of the 2017 Scottish Tarmac Rally Championship.
There’s a record entry of 66 with a fantastic selection of rally cars of all types and models from World Rally Cars, to iconic Ford Mk 2 Escorts and a Vauxhall Chevette, 14 Fords including a Sierra Cosworth, Puma, KA, and Fiestas.
By using the track in both directions, perimeter road and hillside rally stage, Knockhill has come up with stages of almost five miles. Stage one of 10 kicks off at precisely 8.31am, and spectator gates open from 7.30am.
