Hyundai has revealed the estate version of its new i30.
The i30 Tourer focuses on space, safety and affordability.
Revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, the i30 Tourer follows swiftly after the release of the new Hyundai i30 hatchback and, at 602 litres, boasts a bigger boot than the Volkswagen Golf Estate and Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer.
It’s not class-leading – the Skoda Octavia Estate and Peugeot 308 SW offer more – but the i30 will still be one of the more practical models in its price range.
Hyundai does claim a best-in-class level of safety kit. Autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assistance, driver fatigue detection and automatic high-beam headlights are all fitted as standard. There will be two petrol and one diesel engine available, with the diesel returning 78.5mpg.
It’s due in showrooms this summer and prices should start at around the £19,000 mark.
