The vRS has a mighty 245bhp to call on, making it the most powerful Octavia in the company’s history. It’ll go from 0-62mph in 6.6 seconds and will go on to an electronically limited top speed of 155mph. Power comes from a turbocharged 2.0 litre petrol engine which can be mated to six-speed manual or seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. It’s available in hatchback or estate car body shapes and in either guise is one of the most practical fast cars out there. There are six driving modes including Sport, Eco, Comfort and Individual. Alcantara sport seats bearing the RS logo offer a touch of class inside. The Octavia vRS is on sale now priced from £28,985.
