Hyundai’s flagship SUV, the Santa Fe, will enter its fourth generation at the end of this year.
The South Korean company has released the first design sketches showing how the new car will look.
They show a vehicle with more angular bodywork inspired by the look of the new Kona crossover.
It will be fitted with a new package of active safety features, dubbed Smart Sense technology.
According to Hyundai, Smart Sense includes an industry-first Rear Occupant Alert that monitors the rear seats to detect passengers. If the seats are occupied it alerts the driver when they leave the car.
The seven-seat SUV will make its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March before going on sale in the UK later in the year.
