The sleek, sophisticated silhouette is the only thing Audi has carried over into its second generation A7 Sportback.
Prices for the new model start at £54,940 and first deliveries are expected in April.
Two specification levels – Sport and S-line – will be available to choose and come with a choice of powertrains. There’s a petrol model with 340hp that will do 0-62mph in 5.3 seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.
A V6 diesel, meanwhile, has 286hp, will get to 62mph in 5.7 seconds and has the same top speed. Claimed fuel economy is 40.4 and 50.4mpg respectively.
All versions can be had with quattro four-wheel drive technology to improve grip and handling.
A choice of 39 different driver assistance and safety systems will be available to choose from to improve comfort and safety onboard. These will include a parking pilot and garage pilot which is controlled through a smartphone app.
