A “warm” version of Suzuki’s Swift hatchback is on its way to these shores.
With 140bhp on tap from its 1.4 litre petrol engines the Swift Sport is never going to blast past established hot hatches such as the Ford Fiesta ST or Vauxhall Corsa VXR.
It does weigh in at a svelte 975kg though, which is 70kg lighter than the previous generation version, and returns just over 50mpg, making it cheap to run.
UK pricing starts at £16,499 and there is a choice of one solid colour or five metallic colours which can be chosen at no extra cost.
Standard kit includes a sport interior trim with semi bucket seats, six airbags, air conditioning, satellite navigation, leather steering wheel, privacy glass, DAB radio with Bluetooth and six speakers, LED daytime running lights, 17in alloy wheels, body coloured door mirrors and four electric windows.
