Car buyers like peace of mind when they shell out a fortune on a new set of wheels – and a lengthy warranty provides that.
Kia, with a seven-year 100,000 mile warranty, and Hyundai with five-years unlimited, are the two big hitters.
Now Jeep has stepped up to the plate with its “5-3-5” plan.
That translates to a five-year warranty, three years of servicing and five years of roadside assistance on all Wrangler, Renegade, Compass, Cherokee and Grand Cherokee models.
The warranty covers you to a maximum of 75,000 miles.
Jeep has secured a foothold in the UK over the last decade but still sells in small numbers and has a reputation as something of a poor man’s Land Rover.
The company’s 5-3-5 offer will be hoping to tempt buyers that a Cherokee or Grand Cherokee might be worth a punt over the likes of a Discovery or Discovery Sport.
Time will tell if that’s the case but the five-year warranty is welcome nonetheless.
