This beauty is the roadster version of BMW’s hybrid i8 – but you’ll need nearly £125,000 to buy one.
The two seater is powered by a British built petrol engine and an electric motor.
Together, the 1.5 litre, three cylinder engine and the electric motor produce 396bhp.
BMW claims a 0-62mph time of 4.6sec for the new i8 Roadster, with the revised i8 coupé’s time put at 4.4sec. Both have a limited top speed of 155mph. The roof opens and closes in just 15 seconds – the quickest electric roof BMW has ever made.
The i8 Roadster can do up to 33 miles on electric power alone and reach 65mph without needing the petrol unit (75mph if a boost button is pressed).
All this doesn’t come cheap, however – prices start at £124,735.
