In August, Eastern Western Motor Group were delighted to acquire the business which previously traded as Specialist Cars Nissan Dundee.
The business will now operate as Barnetts Nissan Dundee on Riverside Drive, as the Nissan takeover coincided with the company’s acquisition of the very well respected Barnetts Motor Group.
Riverside Drive is now home to Nissan, Mazda and Volkswagen giving customers fantastic choice in a very well-known location right next to the Tay Rail Bridge. At the same time, Eastern Western also acquired Specialist Cars Nissan in Perth and the Group’s other Nissan branch in Tayside is now trading as Western Nissan Perth at the same premises on Strathtay Road, just off Crieff Road.
Eastern Western is a family owned company and has been established for over 80 years. The company’s ethos is to look after customers for the long term by simply doing the basics right and it is a strategy that has seen them grow steadily and strongly in the last 20 years.
These recent acquisitions increase the number of Nissan dealerships Eastern Western operate to five, with Dundee and Perth joining established Nissan sites in Edinburgh, Stirling and Dunfermline. The Eastern Western team are extremely pleased to be further developing their partnership with Nissan Motor GB and to represent the brand right across East & Central Scotland.
The Group’s Managing Director, Peter Collin, is planning important changes for Nissan in Dundee. “We are acutely aware that this is the third move for Nissan in Dundee in as many years. Our new Riverside Drive dealership will be the permanent home for the brand in the city and we will invest heavily to make it one of the very best Nissan dealerships in Scotland.
