Once among the most popular cars in Britain, sales of the Mondeo have declined in recent years as the craze for SUVs took off. It remains a high volume car though – and a very capable one at that. Now Ford have refreshed it for 2019. The exterior has been given a mild restyle, with new grille designs, bumpers and LED daytime running lights. Under the bonnet there’s Ford’s latest diesel engine and also a petrol-electric hybrid model that’s expected to account for half of all sales. The interior’s been given a makeover too, with a rotary gear selector for automatic models. The updated Mondeo is on sale now priced from £21,995.
