Skoda has upgraded two of its SUVs, the Kodiaq and Karoq.
The company has dropped its logo from the rear of the cars, replacing it with lettering spelling out the brand name – a feature that will be seen on the Citigo, Fabia and Octavia over time.
Side Assist technology replaces blind-spot monitoring, with the optional feature increasing the distance it can sense objects from behind from 20m to 70m. Keyless technology has been made more theft resistant, with a transmitter that switches off if the key hasn’t moved in 15 minutes.
There’s also a new 2.0 litre diesel engine with 187bhp, and top spec models are offered with fresh 20in alloy wheels.
There’s no word yet on prices but expect a modest increase over the current model.
