Getting Around London

Since 1863 to now the underground has continued to be one of the easiest ways to see London. Whether you are going to Buckingham Palace or the theatre, you can navigate with ease using the underground.
Handy Tip – if you have a contactless card you can use it as many times as you like in one day and be charged once using the daily capping system. In most cases you will only travel between zones 1 and 3 with a maximum charge of £6.60-£7.70 being applied.
Covent Garden
Looking to shop til you drop or find a bar and watch the world go by, then take yourself along to Covent Garden. It’s a great place for families to go for a bite to eat as you can immerse yourself in all things London.
From designer shops to local boutiques as well as the market stalls, Transport Museum and the Opera House, there’s something for everyone.
Hyde Park
If the sun is shining, then grab a picnic and head to Hyde Park. In the Summer months there is a variety of events in the park that will cater to many age groups. From live music to royal gun salutes, it has the wow factor.
See a Show
London is a hub for theatre, live concerts and sporting events no matter what time of the year you go. There is a buzz in theatre district with Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, Hamilton’s imminent arrival as well as favourites such as The Lion King, Les Miserables, The Phantom of the Opera, Wicked and so much more.
If it’s music you are after, check out what’s on at Wembley and the O2 arena. It’s also worth checking out local bars and restaurants, some offer live entertainment free and makes for a wonderful night out in London.
