Manchester United are hungry for Premier League success this season – and dined out in Dundee a week before their domestic campaign kicks off.
Hundreds of fans gathered outside Forgan’s in Broughty Ferry to welcome their Old Trafford heroes on Wednesday night.
Inside the restaurant, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad got stuck into a range of options, including short rib, chicken supreme and stick toffee pudding.
Here’s a full list of what each player reportedly ordered.
Luke Shaw
Defender Luke Shaw, who scored in the final of Euro 2020 for England, tucked into a simple menu of bread followed by a £13 cheeseburger and chips.
David de Gea
Goalkeef David de Gea went for a light option of bread for his starter, followed by a medium steak for his main.
The Spanish footballer joined Diogo Dalot in having crème brulee for pudding.
Bruno Fernandes
Bruno Fernandes ordered up a goats cheese starter in Dundee, followed by a medium steak as his main.
Well-used to delivering when the chips are down for United, Fernandes ordered sweet potato fries, halloumi and spinach.
Fernandes, who is said to earn more than £100,000 per week, followed up with a sticky toffee pudding.
Harry Maguire
Fresh from the Euros, Harry Maguire was the only player to order a ham hock starter, which he followed with a chicken supreme main.
Maguire also tucked into a sticky toffee pudding.
Scott McTominay
Scotland player Scott McTominay was given a warm welcome by fans after arriving in Dundee.
He ordered a chicken tempura starter followed by chicken supreme. He didn’t order a dessert.
Jesse Lingard
England star Jesse Lingard ordered a cheeseburger, but was sure to ask it had nothing else on it. He also ordered halloumi fries and mac and cheese.
The winger followed his burger with a sticky toffee pudding.
Mason Greenwood
One of the more controversial choices of the evening, Mason Greenwood asked the restaurant for a well-done fillet steak with halloumi fries.
Fred
Brazil international Fred avoided pudding but enjoyed a meal of chicken tempura followed by a rib of beef with a side dish of mac and cheese.
Axel Tuanzebe
Defender Axel Tuanzebe tucked into a rib of beef with sweet potato fries.
Diogo Dalot
Portuguese right-back Diogo Dalot opted for a starter of chicken tempura, followed by a steak cooked medium to well done. He also went with a side dish of sweet potato fries and mac and cheese.
James Garner
20-year-old James Garner showed his love of puddings in Dundee, with the restaurant plating up a caramel and Biscoff tartlet for the midfielder.
He joined Fred in tucking into a rib of beef main with a side dish of halloumi fries and chips.
Daniel James
Welsh international Daniel James avoided a starter before tucking into a cheeseburger with halloumi fries.
James ordered a crème brulee pudding.
Phil Jones
Centre-back Phil Jones also opted not to enjoy a starter before he ordered a chicken supreme main accompanied by sweet potato fries.
For pudding the 29-year-old United player had a sticky toffee pudding.
Matěj Kovář
Czech player Matěj Kovář was another who passed on a starter, and indulged his sweet tooth with a caramel and Biscoff tartlet for pudding.
He also had a chicken supreme main with mashed potatoes.
Victor Lindelöf
Swedish defender Victor Lindelöf had a burger followed by crème brulee.
Tom Heaton
Goalkeeper Tom Heaton enjoyed chicken tempura for starters.
He then opted for a BBQ short rib with thick-cut fries before sampling the caramel and Biscoff tartlet.
Anthony Martial
Chicken supreme was a popular choice amongst the team, with Anthony Martial joining others in ordering it as a main. He also had a spinach side dish.
Juan Mata
Spanish midfielder Juan Mata enjoyed a goats cheese starter followed by a steak with a side dish of halloumi fries.
He opted for a cheesecake pudding.
Nemanja Matić
Nemanja Matić joined his team mates who had a chicken tempura starter before tucking into a fillet steak.
Andreas Pereira
Belgian-born Brazil player Andreas Pereira tucked into skink followed by a steak.
He also enjoyed a cheesecake.
Donny van de Beek
Dutchman Donny van de Beek, who signed a five-year contract for around £31 million in 2020, also went for a chicken supreme main.
But before that, he tucked into chicken tempura as a starter and then opted for a cheesecake pudding.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka
Aaron Wan-Bissaka shunned a starter in favour of a cheeseburger with sweet potatoes fries and mashed potatoes.
He followed that with sticky toffee pudding.
Brandon Williams
20-year-old Brandon Williams ordered a fillet steak with fries, and then went for a cheesecake pudding.
The defender is reported to earn around £40,000-a-week at United, who he is signed with until 2024.
Lee Grant
Joining his side at Forgan’s Lee Grant opted for bread starter, followed by a cheeseburger with a side of mac and cheese.
He also enjoyed a sticky toffee pudding.
