An online retailer has been jailed for a year after admitting having more than 250 hours of child abuse videos.
Married dad-of-three Clive Price, 61, was also placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years after Perth Sheriff Court heard he had secretly been watching the videos for seven years.
When his home on Perth Road, Scone, was raided by police, the web-based jewellery retailer admitted having a horde of images, but told officers: “It’s not that serious.”
However, the court was told that a third of the videos were in the most serious category.
Sheriff Gillian Wade told Price: “You were knowingly committing an offence against real children who were being abused in a horrific way somewhere in the world.”
Price’s solicitor Mark Harrower said: “His family are not speaking to him any more. He is a disgraced man in the community.”
