A teenager has been acquitted of charges of raping and assaulting a child.
Liam Farquhar, 18, stood trial at the High Court in Edinburgh on a four-charge indictment.
The offences were alleged to have taken place between 2012 and 2013.
Farquhar, of Ness Drive, Arbroath, was accused of assaulting a child by seizing their clothing, pulling the youngster and causing the child to fall to the ground on an occasion in May 2013.
He was cleared of pinning the child to the ground and raping the child.
The teenager was further acquitted of inducing the same child to take sexual images of themselves and send it to him.
Farquhar previously pleaded not guilty to all charges at a preliminary hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
Following his trial, Farquhar was acquitted on all charges brought against him.
