An Arbroath man was placed under supervision for two years after admitting having a knife in a public place.
John Nelson, 40, of Ladyloan, admitted that he had a knife in a public place without reasonable excuse or lawful authority at Braicks Wynd on March 25 last year.
He also admitted two charges of failing to turn up for court appearances last year.
Sheriff Alastair Brown ordered Nelson to be under supervision for two years and for him to engage in treatment for his alcohol and drug issues, with a review to be held in three months’ time.
