A Tayside banker will face trial accused of embezzling more than £800,000 from customers’ accounts.
Samuel Mackintosh, of Evelyn Terrace in Perth, is alleged to have taken the cash from three customers over a period of six months last year.
The offences are said to have taken place while Mackintosh, 27, was employed as a personal banking adviser for the Bank of Scotland.
Mackintosh is accused of six offences, all of which allegedly took place at Bank of Scotland branches in Auchterarder and Crieff between March and August last year.
All the transfers are said to have taken place without the authority of the three account holders and Mackintosh is alleged to have embezzled a total of £820,766.54.
Mackintosh denies all charges against him.
A first diet was set for August 7 at Dundee Sheriff Court by Sheriff Alastair Brown.
Mackintosh was granted bail in the meantime.
