A shoplifter who stole two vacuum cleaners from a supermarket on consecutive days has been placed on a community payback order.
Alan Spink, 34, of Dykehead Place, had previously admitted that on both October 17 and 18 last year, at Tesco on Riverside Drive, he stole vacuum cleaners and on the second date, he stole a quantity of electrical equipment.
Sheriff George Way placed Spink under supervision for a year with a drug treatment requirement.
The order is to be reviewed on July 30.
