A man has been placed on a restriction of liberty order after admitting taking a knife to a Dundee police station.
Mark Law, 39, of Provost Road, previously admitted possessing the black-handled kitchen knife at police HQ on West Bell Street and the Wellgate Centre on March 9.
The court was told Law went to the station and banged on the glass partition at the counter, stating he had a knife “to hurt other people”.
Law was told he must stay in his house between 7pm-7am for four months, as a direct alternative to custody.
