A man has been charged over claims he was in possession of a firearm in Perth city centre.
Connor McLean, 21, was arrested following an alleged incident on Saturday night in High Street.
During a private appearance on petition, McLean, of Perth, faced two charges.
One of the charges was under section 16(a) of the Firearms Act 1968, relating to claims that he had possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He also faced a second charge of assault.
McLean made no plea or declaration over the allegations and was remanded in custody ahead of a further appearance.
