Paul Gallacher, 37, of Brown Constable Street, was placed on the sex offenders register at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Gallacher admitted taking, permitting to have taken or making indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of children at his home address between February 19 and March 21 2015.
He also admitted a second charge of failing to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on March 29 last year.
Sentence was deferred until July 3.
